The Hellisheidi geothermal power plant in Iceland is one of the largest in the world, generating 303 MW of electricity and 400 MW of thermal energy. It powers the Orca project, the largest direct air capture facility, which removes CO₂ from the air and stores it underground.
Iceland is also pioneering a circular economy, using geothermal resources for businesses that benefit from CO₂, hot water, and electricity. The country is now sharing its expertise in geothermal energy and carbon capture with nations like the US, Indonesia, and New Zealand, leading the way in sustainable energy.
