On Tuesday 17 June, CEEI in collaboration with EBN and ANCES, successfully hosted the latest Demo Day of the European project RESOURCE – Financing Circular Economy in Aragon, held at the Etopia innovation center in Zaragoza. The event marked a significant milestone in the promotion of entrepreneurial talent and investment in innovative circular economy solutions.

The session was officially opened by Javier Martínez, General Manager of CEEIARAGON, followed by welcoming remarks from Géraldine Quetin (GAC Group) and an online keynote from Davide Delaiti, Project Officer at the European Commission.

Throughout the day, eight high-potential pilot startups presented their circular business models: Bugcle, BIOGASDT Aragón, Cadiuco Wool, EWN Ecohelp, Feltwood, Green Foundry Castillonroy, RECICLA.app, and Moss Smart Nature. These ventures pitched in front of a selected group of impact-driven investors, including Araban, CaixaBank DayOne, Sodiar, Kaudal, and Sploro, among others.

As a highlight, the event featured a success story from the European Circular Economy ecosystem: Aliqindoi, a startup based at BIC Euronova in Málaga, which focuses on the reuse of second-hand mobile phones. Aliqindoi is currently being advised by the prestigious SkyDeck accelerator in California, which has also invested in the company.

This Demo Day showcased not only the maturity of the participating startups but also Aragon’s leadership in public-private collaboration for scaling sustainable innovations internationally. The RESOURCE project is funded by the Horizon Europe program and coordinated by the Government of Aragon and CEEIARAGON, in partnership with Aitiip, ANCES, Universiteit Leiden, GAC France, and EBN.
